Samsung announced the Galaxy S23 family two weeks ago and it has since been available for pre-order globally. According to Samsung Korea, the S23 series is their most pre-ordered S series smartphone ever.
The new flagships have a record 1.09 million pre-orders in just 7 days which is more than the 1.01 million total pre-orders of the S22 series.
However, the pre-orders aren't evenly split among the three smartphones that make up the series. The S23 Ultra has received almost 2/3 of the total pre-orders.
According to the report, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has 60% of the total pre-orders, followed by the Galaxy S23 which has a 23% share, and the Galaxy S23 Plus which takes the remaining 17%.
Samsung S23 Ultra doesn't have many design upgrades but the new hardware such as the customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for Galaxy S23 and the new 200 MP main camera contributed a lot to what most people that have gotten their hands on the device singing praise for Samsung.
I believe it is this revelation and adulation that is driving the huge popularity of the S23 series not just in South Korea but across the world.
The S23 series is expected to be available in two days. I will let you know when that happens.
